Phantasy star Portable

Phantasy Star Portable is the first entry of the ongoing Phantasy Star franchise on the PSP. As of writing, the game has only been released in Japan, but with the help of fellow board members, I was able to complete the game with minimal difficulties posed by not knowing Japanese. As may be with some other people, this was my first Phantasy Star game, and I can safely say that this is a good place as any to get into the series.

The game(and series, in any case) is set in a universe with technology far beyond the modern day’s. You play as the standard hero off to explore new lands, help people in need, and ultimately defeat the big baddy. However, it is in the execution of this standard plotline that this game really shines
